Situated in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha national park is a Tiger reserve which extends over an area of 1,945-sq-kms. The major attraction of this Park is its Topography. The Park is situated in a horseshoe shape valley & the whole area of the park is surrounded by the spurs of the Mekal. The Surpan river travels through the park to provide a permanent source of water to its rich flora & fauna & known as the life line of the park. Flora

Kanha is popular among the wetland &bird lovers for its rich & diverse vegetation. The vegetation in Kanha includes Khair, Replace, Sunflower, Stolden Larks, Rosewood, Araucari screened gums, etc. Khair is obtained from a southern prostrate vegetation and is abundant in very shallow soils. It is a very vital and versatile vegetation for a wetland ecosystem.

Fauna

Kanha has a variety of wild life densities including

5 mammalian species ,( Moose, Yak, Deer, Gaur),

5 reptile species( Boxer, Spotted Deer, wild Boar, Indian Kite, White-headed Duck, etc),

3 amphibian species( Frog, small River Frog, giant Tree Frog, etc)

3 species of mollusc species(Mollusc, Nadu Matisha, Globe Pulmonis, etc)

5 species of amphibians that only live in this park

The park is also home to a variety of seasonal birds that includes water fowl, wild ducks, wild boar, pelican, heron, egret, Norfolk rhyck. The UAV as well as the 4D camera are popular attraction for these birds.Similarly Amur Drakensberg park is popular for its tigers.

Other Attractions

NearlyNaivasha National Parkis famous for the tigers and amazes visitors with its multiple coatations of tigers, leopards and wild dogs. However, it is also a habitat to Atlas Moth, Indian Bison, sloth bear, Hoolock Mountain package, crocodiles and several species of reptiles. The park also provides world-class elephant safari to explore its elephant population.

Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuaryis located 37 km from Panaji city. It is one of the most sought after wildlife sanctuary in India. This park is a home to rich flora and fauna. It is well known for its tigers and elephants. This park also protects Asiatic lions, wild elephants, swamp deer and swamp crocodiles.

Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuaryis located i Cornwall, Isle of Wight. It is well known for its large breeding populations of Indian Bison, Indian Alps bear, deer, bison, groblers, badgers and badger, etc. This park remains open for the public from 15th November to 15th June.

Jim Corbett National Parkis located in the state of Uttarakhand. It is well known for its rare and endangered flora and fauna. Corbett is also known for his tiger hunting activities.
